A sloping wooded parcel on the edge of Summersville had to become a level, compacted pad for a pre-engineered steel building. The natural grade fell nearly twenty feet across the footprint, and a seasonal drainage crossed the middle of the intended slab.
A utility corridor had gone unmaintained long enough that woody growth was approaching the conductors. Conventional clearing would have meant burn piles and haul-off across terrain with almost no truck access.
An existing two-track climbing out of a hollow washed out every spring. The owner had been adding gravel for years without addressing why it kept disappearing downhill.
Tension cracks had opened along a driveway above a steep gorge-side slope, and the toe was visibly bulging. A wet spring had accelerated movement to where the driveway was no longer safe for a loaded vehicle.
Forty acres of former hayfield had been left unmanaged for over a decade. Multiflora rose and autumn olive had taken the open ground and young hardwoods were establishing behind them.
A wooded parcel needed a house site, a septic area, and driveway access, with a stand of mature oaks near the road that the owners wanted kept.

Publicly funded work lives or dies on documentation. We work to plan and to spec, run compaction testing at the intervals your engineer requires, verify elevations against benchmark, and photograph what went into the ground before it was covered. Inspectors and general contractors get the paperwork they need without chasing us for it.
